Discussing and gathering gifts for Ascend Ministries and "Rachel," one of the teenage homeless recipients of the items. Ascend Ministries is a ministry developed by our Bridges President, Megan Shaw, and her finance. They have partnered with several high schools in Brevard country, north and south, to provide for homeless and needy teenages this Christmas. Megan's Bridges family pitched in to help with appliances, food, bedding. Love you Megan. Thanks for being such a servant!

Women's Center receives 'upcycled' phones from Bridges
Bridges members donate two big boxes of 'upcycled' (used) cell phones to the North Brevard Women's Center located in Titusville. These phones are taken to the Cocoa shelter, wiped clean, and distributed to women who are abuse victims and are in need of an emergency phone. Thanks to all on the Titusville campus who donated!

Summer 2010 underway
Hope everyone had a wonderful first day of summer (officially) today! I know everyone is off doing their own thing this summer - school, work, camp, travel. Remember to pray for one another. Give God your time and focus. Let Him make you into the most wonderful person He created you to be. Pray that God will give us wisdom in our country to shut down the oil leak in the gulf and that He will spare sea life and wild life ~ whisk them out of the way of the tarry oil.
See you all in July for our next summer 2010 meeting. We'll be Skyping Mike in from camp (we hope) from my office. Blessings on you all until then.
Much love! <3

Bridges "Brain Food Banquet" - end of spring term 2010
Bridges students voted to use their banquet money to buy 'brain food' snacks to distribute to students during finals week. Bananas and granola anyone?
