Bridges wraps up term with donations

Bridges wrapped up the fall 2013 term with donations to Air Mobile Ministries (to aid those in the Philippines hit by the typhoon), to Hope For North Brevard's Project E.A.T.  and dozens of shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child to be delivered to needy children around the world through Samaritan's Purse. Thanks to the members who gave.  May your Christmas be filled with Jesus, His love and His care for others. Merry Christmas! See you on campus in the new year.

Bridges 200th

Today a group of about 20 folks celebrated Bridges 200th meeting on the Titusville campus (since our inception in January 2008). No fanfare; just fellowship, food, sharing praise reports, and collecting T.O.L.L.S. (tokens of living love shared) for Air Mobile Ministries (to help those in the Philippines affected by the typhoon).  Thank you Father God for giving us a place to gather on our campus for the last six years. We are grateful. We have been blessed. May we bless You by laying down our lives for others; to love, to give, to serve ~ always trusting You ~ our only source, our Rock and Redeemer. May we always be a soft place to land for students and staff on our campus.

Nov. 2013 - Operation Christmas Child

Thank you to everyone who donated a filled shoe box to the Operation Christmas Child drive this fall. Together with Ms. Patria's Success Strategies class, we had 31 boxes to give to children around the world in need. Our Bridges Secretary, Matt Lipphardt, delivered the boxes to his church, Arantia Baptist, who will in turn deliver the boxes to the north Brevard drop-off site for shipment with many more filled boxes from other churches and organizations in this area. Pray for the children and families who will receive these boxes - that they will know joy, know love and know that Jesus truly does love them.

The cost of discipleship - Marc Driscoll

This link is one of the best audio/video messages on the cost of discipleship. It's good. Take a listen.

Do I give God any room in my day; is He a priority?

Where does God fit in my life? Do I make room for Him at all?

Good post by author Ian. Worth a read.

Senator Rubio gives tribute to Bridges President Krys Henry

God opens doors. Krys Henry met some interesting young men through attendance at the 2012 Florida State Leadership Forum on Faith and Values in Tallahassee, FL, March 2012.  Through these introductions, Krys wound up in Washington D.C. serving a 2012 summer internship and learning from some of our national leaders. We are happy for the opportunities God creates for our Bridges family, including President Krys Henry. To God be the glory.

Guest speaker from Egypt teaches what living a life of faith is like in another country.

Bridges was honored to hear from guest speaker, Fawzi, from Egypt, who taught us much about what life is like for persons of faith in another country. We were humbled by what we learned and wish him well.  Thank you Fawzi for blessing us with incredible stories from your personal experiences and for giving us a unique learning opportunity today! (February 13, 2013) Please know we will be praying for you, the orphans, and the volunteers who spread the good news of Jesus throughout the world. You inspired us!
