This is the corporate poem that Bridges members contributed to on our Fall 2011 retreat to Daytona Beach/El Caribe. During the retreat, members were asked to write one sentence - 'what is God to you?' Our President, Ms. Kathy Bellamy, then took the sentiments and wove them together into this love letter to God, Bridges first Psalm (click this text to see a larger, easier-to-read version).

Bridges Retreat to Daytona Beach on 11-11-11

Fourteen members of BCC's Bridges Fellowship of Christian Students and Staff met on the Titusville campus on 11-11-11 to pray over each building on the campus, then head to Daytona Beach for a one-day retreat. Our group had an incredible day with great fellowship, friendship, sharing, planning, praying.
Bridges Retreat - 11-11-11 - Bridges members took the day to have a bonding retreat. We began the day by prayer walking our campus, praying for every student, faculty and staff member and visitor to our campus. Then we headed to the El Caribe in Daytona Beach to have a day of sharing, praying, encouragement and fellowship. It was better than any of us expected. We even corporately wrote our first "Bridges Psalm" - a love letter to God. Way cool. What a great day. This is what memories are made of.

We're seeking "it"

We are listening to and discussing "It" by Craig Groeschel (Lifechurch.TV.com) at the Bridges meetings. Really engaging - looking at our vision, what we're called to do, putting aside all other 'stuff.' All ministries should take a look at this great info; short and to the point. It'll clean the spiderwebs out and help you begin to focus. Bam! The vid clips and discussion have been very enlightening. Come join us. BCC Titusville campus, every Wednesday afternoon, 4:00 p.m., building 5, room 120 - fellowship, God's word, prayer, encouragement, food, and focus. So, what are you going to do? What do you want?

April 5, 2011 - International "One Day Without Shoes" event - to raise awareness of the millions of children, women and men who live without shoes daily and incur pain and disease from doing so. Life changing for me today (La Ryeness). Pictured here: toesies of La Ryeness and Salli Dibartolo - shoeless on campus at BCC. Read more about it at TOM's website - they give shoes to people around the world! When you buy a pair, they donate and send a pair to those who need them around the globe. Pretty cool. Catalyst Leadership Training

Catalyst One Day leadership training in Orlando/Longwood, Florida. February 17, 2011 Attendees: Mike Daniels, Jamie Popper, Jason Higginson, Joshua Forentbery, Josiah Monk, Sarah Stoeckel, Rhonda Rye
Video below: This is the ball-toss break after lunch at Catalyst!

So yesterday, Feb. 17, 2011, a group of us attended the Catalyst One Day leadership training in Orlando/Longwood, Florida. Wow - it was great! We learned so much about creating a culture that supports what people do - leadership that is flipped upside down - learning to lead like Jesus lead. Great practical, purposeful advice was shared by the national trainers, Andy Stanley and Craig Groeschel. We had several sessions on topics. Great info, great day!
